BOOKING INFORMATION

  • Since Covid-19 we have been leaving the house empty for 72+ hours in between bookings and will continue to do so for the time being.

  • This means we are prioritising bookings for 1.5 weeks or 2 weeks; arrivals are therefore usually either Saturday or mid-week but there is flexibility on this. We are also mainly accepting bookings for groups of 2 people unless agreed at the time of booking.

  • There is an unfenced pond and some rocky areas within the grounds so for safety reasons the house is normally not available for children under the age of 11, unless by prior agreement.

  • The house will be ready for you from 4.30pm and we ask that guests depart by 10am.

  • We provide oil-fired central heating, electricity, one bag of firewood and one bag of kindling.

  • Since Covid-19, guests are asked to bring their own bed linen and personal use towels, unless otherwise agreed on booking. We provide freshly laundered mattress and pillow protectors, bathmats, kitchen hand towels and kitchen tea towels.

  • Smoking (including E-cigarettes) is not permitted in the house or within the perimeter of the grounds. Outdoor fires and/or cooking are not allowed due to fire risk.

  • Sorry no pets.

  • There is a septic tank rather than mains drainage, which is typical in this rural area. To keep the good bugs happily doing what they need to do, we provide a range of Ecover (or similar) products for use by our guests. These include: washing up liquid; dishwasher tablets; washing machine liquid; hand soap; and various house cleaning products.

  • There is unlimited (normal usage) fast broadband WiFi provided by the house’s external 4G antenna.

  • We operate a ‘no shoes’ policy inside the house and are grateful that guests bring slippers.

TARIFF & AVAILABILITY

  • Weekly prices for 2024/2025 (for an occupancy of 2 guests)

    • November, December (Christmas/New Year prices by arrangement), January, February: £820

    • March: £920

    • April, May, June, July, August, September, October: £1,050

    • November, December £820 (Christmas / New Year prices by arrangement)

  • There is an additional charge for groups of more than 2 people, to be agreed on booking.

  • A non-refundable £200 (per week) deposit is payable to secure a booking. The balance of the rental, plus a refundable £150 keys return / good housekeeping deposit, is due not less than 12 weeks before the start of the holiday.
